San Diego is at a strategic location along the pacific rim. It is called America's finest city, partly because of the relaxed friendly lifestyle, and partly because the city is relatively clean and new compared to most other major US cities. |

The community of La Jolla lies within the boundaries of the City of San Diego, but it's location 14 miles north of downtown San Diego and population of about 38,000, has helped it establish it's own identity as a small town refuge from the big city. La Jolla is one of the most unique communities of San Diego. |

Del Mar is located in San Diego County 20 miles north of the City of San Diego, and is bordered on the south by Torrey Pines State Reserve, on the north by the San Dieguito River, Del Mar Racetrack and San Diego County Fairgrounds, and on the west by the Pacific Ocean. |

Carmel Valley is a series of new developments including an area called North City West, and is the first suburb area you reach travelling north after the 805 and 5 merge. It features new streets, newer schools, an new freeway and a central location. |

Encinitas was founded over 100 years ago and is now made up of five communities that take pride in their own distinct personalities. Located just east of Interstate 5 and 25 miles north of Downtown San Diego, Encinitas is home to approximately 58,000 residents. |

Leucadia is part of Encinitas but boasts a different mind set, combining both a coastal community as well as a rural feel! Homes differ from some funky beach cottages to new upscale homes most being custom designs versus large planned communities. |

Carlsbad features a wide range of housing, from restored historic homes to modern upscale developments east of the interstate offering spectacular views of ocean sunsets. South Carlsbad, which is in many ways a different community has some of the finest new developments in San Diego County. |

Oceanside is divided into three zones, the beach and old downtown which feature ocean front properties, condos, town homes and fabulous new "row houses" in the fashion of San Francisco located just blocks from the wide open sandy beaches and the Pier. Moving east the homes get older and still further east to the last zone which can border Vista. |
