San Diego International School
San Diego International School (SANDIS) is a private, coeducational, independent, college preparatory school enrolling children in Preschool (2-, 3- and 4-year-olds), Elementary School (kindergarten - 5th grade), and Middle School (6th , 7th & 8th grades). SANDIS is a 15-year-old California non-profit organization in San Diego, California. For the 2005-2006 school year, the preschool (for 2 - 4-year-olds) will join the Kindergarten - 8th grades in Clairemont Mesa, just off the 52 and less than 10 minutes from the beaches of La Jolla at 3219 Clairemont Mesa Blvd., San Diego.
San Diego International School offers a bilingual, multi-cultural French/American program from preschool through the eighth grades. Approximately 75 - 80% of the course work is in the French language (depending on the grade) and follows the curriculum guidelines of the French Ministry of Education. The remaining portion is in English and is an accelerated program including English Language Arts, American Social Studies and in K - 5th, Science. Spanish is taught as a third language beginning in 5th grade.
